Writing for the Reader: A Problem-Solution Approach by Tom Miller and Dee Parker
Writing for the Reader: A Problem-Solution Approach is Tom Miller and Dee Parker´s outstanding and clear overview of how to write an effective academic article focusing on a problem-solution organization. Writing an article is no easy task, unless one has the right tools to do so. But realistically, not many people, let alone students, have been provided with the correct set of tools to be able to sail through smoothly when writing an article. As a matter of fact, for many students, writing an article is a lot like sailing a boat through choppy waters with a raging hurricane beating the boat from side to side. In the end, the outcomes can be catastrophic or acceptably border lining mediocracy. Fortunately for us, the authors of Writing for the Reader: A Problem-Solution Approach have done an exceptional job of explaining an approach that can make writing an article feasible and; thus, suggest the reason for writing the article.
When writing an article, the author must keep one thought in mind and that is to have his/her article understood when being read. Miller, T. and Parker, D. (1997) say ¨ The introduction is extremely important because it is the part of the article where the writer establishes a relationship with the reader. Here is where the writer needs to express in concrete terms who the intended audience really is. ¨ In my opinion, the introduction to an article can either make or break an author. It is here where the author is given the opportunity to persuade the reader of reading his/her article. I completely agree with what Miller, T. and Parker, D. (1997) have expressed; convincing the reader requires following two seemingly easy steps: ¨ One of the first things a writer must do is achieve credibility vis-à-vis the reader, usually by indicating that s/he is a position of authority to write on the subject. The author also may wish to signal early what problem s/he intends to solve. ¨       Once the author has been able to convince the reader to read his/her article, s/he must move on to present the problem part of the article which according to Miller, T. and Parker, D. (1997) is reintroduced in the body of the article and is the part of the paper where the writer shows that s/he shares reader´s concerns. Now, I feel that the problem part is clearly recognizable because of the use of explicit or implied words of causation and also because the perspective is negative throughout as Miller, T. and Parker, D. (1997) have pointed out. In general, causes, factors or examples of causes are what compose the problem section of the paper.
After describing the problem section of the article, the author moves on to the solution section. Clearly, the solution part is identified without difficulty because, like the problem section, of the change from negative, or cause words, to positive ones. Consequently, as was mention by Miller, T. and Parker, D. (1997) ¨the paragraphs and sentences adjust to accommodate the new orientation¨. In other words, the focus switches from problems to solutions. ¨ At this point, I dare to say that the authors of this article have given the reader an extraordinary explanation of how to recognize between a problem and a solution and; better yet, have oriented the reader to how smaller parts fit into a whole.
The last part of the article, which according to Miller, T. and Parker, D. (1997) is also very difficult, is the conclusion.  To my way of thinking, the conclusion can be a bit difficult, but not overly problematic. I believe that if a good introduction was written and the author kept on track about what s/he was going to write, it will be reflected in the conclusion. In the end, the conclusion is just a mirror image of the introduction; where one starts generalizing, the other begins by specifying. Once more, the conclusion gives the author the chance to remind the readers that the ultimate purpose for his/her writing the article was to find a solution to a specific problem and that that purpose was reached.
Ultimately, writing an article so that it might be published, but more importantly read is not a piece of cake. Nonetheless, the problem-solution format is most definitely an excellent way of writing for the reader and here I quote Miller, T. and Parker, D. (1997), ¨ it serves a purpose of situating the writer and orienting the reader. ¨ Whether one decides to use the problem-solution structure or some other strategy, the ultimate goal is to sympathize with the reader. The problem-solution approach provides the writer with the tools necessary to write an exceptional article.

Letter to the Editor

Tegucigalpa, M.D.C                                                                                                                                                        June 17th, 2016                                                                                                                                                                  John Leigh                                                                                                                                                                                                Writer of Men at Arms                                                                                                                                                                          Harvard University Press

Dear Mr. John Leigh,
I am writing in reference to your article Touché: The Duel in Literature.  I must admit that I have been greatly impressed by what you have stated in your article. I completely agree with what Guy de Maupassant declared about duels; they are indeed, and I quote: ¨the last of our unreasonable customs¨. Despite the fact that dueling is an old-fashioned folly that is only fought by hotheaded men, you make quite an interesting point when you say that ¨the duel is a form of civilized, ordered violence, ostentatiously different from the brawls and other, lower forms of aggression¨. This could be seen as one of the best supported reasons as to why dueling, all thought frowned upon, has not ceased to exist. After all, there have been many times when duels have saved nations from going into war. As I say this, a character from G.K. Chesterton´s novel, who stopped a suspect from exploding a bomb by challenging him to a duel, comes to mind. With the rising violence that humans are facing in the 21st century, duels almost seem remarkably measured. Having spoken out my mind, all I can say is: Touché.

Sincerely,

Argumentative Essay

God Complex
I once read the following sentence: ¨You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it¨.  Looking back in history, this was, without a doubt, very true. People used to treasure life and lived it to the fullest. Needless to say, this fact is not even remotely close to the truth nowadays. In days past, life was seen as sacred and cherished; however, this has changed in the last century. The idea of taking one´s life is ludicrous and highly frowned upon. Despite it all, more and more people are resourcing to the least disgraced method of taking their life. ¨Mercy Killing¨, as it has been termed by many, is simply a smoke screen for what, in reality, is assisted suicide – the voluntary taking of one´s life.
¨ No testing has come to you that other people do not have. But God will not fail you. He will not allow the testing to be too hard for you. No. When the testing comes, God will make out for your, so that you can go through the testing. ¨ (1 Corinthians 10:13) As can be undoubtedly read, God, the giver of life, will never give individual person more than their share of what they can handle. (Job 33:4) says, ¨ It is the Lord God who has given us life. ¨ God in all is mercy and perfection decided to bless us with life and it is up to us to treasure the life that we have been given. In another passage of the Bible, it says, ¨…and it is the Lord who has numbered our days¨, (Job 14:5). This could have not been more precise; it is God who is the only one that can take life. Our days have been numbered, but they have not been numbered by us humans; they have been numbered my God.
So far, I have based my argument from a religious point of view; but now, I wish do draw attention to what history has taught us about the matter at hand. ¨The Nazis and their medical hangmen had murdered many thousands of mental patients, epileptics, feeble-minded, physically handicapped, “asocial” persons. Of course these crimes had no resemblance to the euthanasia some people want legalized. There was no consent, no indication—in most cases—of unbearable suffering. However, the mass murder was justified as “euthanasia,” (Gumpert, 1950) After reading this, I must admit, that I was completely repulsed by the idea of euthanasia. Nevertheless, those that are in pro of euthanasia might argue that the Nazis never asked any of the people they ¨mercifully¨ killed for their permission. But, let us not dwell on what the Nazis did in the past, there is no use in trying to change the past. The fact, is that when a small compromised is made, many injustices are eventually allowed. Take abortion for example, the sanctity of the beginning of life is already open to destruction through abortion; why then would we wish to do the same to the end of life?
¨ I don´t want to become a burden to my family. ¨  (Medina, 2016) These were the exact words of a colon cancer patient who is glad that euthanasia is now legal for her to take as an option if she desires. Thousands of people have been mercifully killed because they could not bear the thought of being a burden to their family or to leave them practically bankrupt. The decision of many was not made because of the unbearable suffering they were facing; their decision was based on economic concerns. Fr. Saunders a dean of the Notre Dame Graduate School of Christendom College and pastor of Queen of Apostles Parish stated, ¨ It is a sinister thought that economic considerations might influence the decision as to life or death. ¨(Saunders, 1994) Money needs not to be a determining factor as whether to end life or not, the thought of it is without a doubt disturbing.
Finally, of all excuses people have provided for ending their life voluntarily, not one of them seems viable to me. I strongly believe and defend the fact that God is the only one that has given humans life and is the only one that can take it when and where He pleases. Life is not just about the difficulties and hardships we face – as we well know, there is no lack of them – it is far from that. As cliché as might sound, life is about those little moments that make us happy about being alive. It is about those moments that brought a smile to our faces or merely made us feel good.  Life is the most precious gift we have been given and it is our duty to live it to the fullest and enjoy it.  Life is a blessing.

Descriptive Essay

The Farmers’ Market
Friday nights downtown are full of vivid phrases like:  ¨come here sweetie¨, ¨great sales right here¨, or ¨pay two, take three¨. Phrases that are coming out of the mouths of tons of vendors who are fervently trying to make a living. However, it is not only the sounds that stand out; the people, the colors, and the smells all work in harmony to make the farmers’ market a lively, enjoyable, and interesting place. It is a place where one can see life in so many colors, shapes, and sizes. It is also a place that opens the senses to new tastes, smells, sights, and feelings. Whatever the reason might be for visiting the farmers´ market in Tegucigalpa, there is no doubt that satisfaction and wanting are going to be the two feelings invading a person who is visiting.
Although the farmers’ market is located in the center of town, it is quite a hustle to get there. First of all, the market is only opened on Friday nights and Saturday mornings, which are the days when traffic is the worst. Secondly, getting a parking space ranges from difficult to nearly impossible; it is a miracle if a person is able to find a parking space. Cars are parked as close as two lovers sharing a secret or as close as a mother and her newborn baby. Ironically, this same spot is a ghost town the rest of the week. But then again, do not let the absence of parking space keep you from visiting the market. There might be a lack of parking space, but there is an abundance of kind gentlemen, wearing orange vests, who are more than willing to find you a parking spot and keep an eye on your car. All of this, of course, is done in exchange for a few lempiras that one might be ready to spare.
At the entrance of the market, one is met with two dozen oversize, dew-drenched, and colorful containers full of juice. The thirst-quenching juices vary from the everyday orange juice to the exotic concoctions of horchata and pozol. Juicy melon, zesty pineapple, sweet passion fruit, flavorful blackberry, and tangy star fruit are some of the many juices that one will be able to find inside the gigantic containers. Farther into the market one is able to spot the highly acclaimed, since it is always surrounded by buyers, vegetables area. The vegetables are skillfully arranged lengthways on the display tables and carefully separated so the buyer can easily identify them. Green cucumbers, several types of peppers, bright purple eggplants, red tomatoes, and garden grown carrots with their leafy green tops all have a place on the display tables.
To the right of the vegetables area, one can find the fruits stand. The fruits stand is twice as crowded as the vegetable area and there is no reason why it should not be. Just like the vegetables, the fruits have been neatly arranged and separated on the display tables. The strong and sweet smell of the fruits is more than enough to put any person in a diabetic´s coma. The colors of the fruits are that of a rainbow; dark and light reds, bright and sunny oranges, eye catching yellows, vibrant greens and extravagant purples. The fruits are always on high demand and there is no doubt why. Besides being locally grown, the fruits undergo a rigid selection that leaves only the best of the best on display. But do not allow yourself to be fooled by the quality of the fruit. Take all that you want since this is the best place for getting fruits at the cheapest price possible.
The best part of the farmers’ market is the outdoor kitchens. The various smells rising from the different grills can make any person turn into a drooling fool. Spicy chicken roasting, tacos being fried, pupusas steaming, or tamales being unwrapped and seasoned are just some of the examples of food that one will surely be able to find at the market. However, food is not the only thing that people will be enjoying; they will also be appreciating each other´s company and enjoying the fact that food and drinks have brought families together. The conversations between the people are light and cheerful. Laughter mixes in with the smells in the air forming a wonderful mood.

The farmers’ market can be seen as a getaway from the everyday routine. It is a chance to be outside, even if it is just for a little while. It is also a chance to meet new people or run into people you are already acquainted with. There is a deep connection to the community when you actively participate in the growth of the commerce of a country. Friday nights will never get old; the welcoming quality in the air and the continuous change and unending fun, hopefully, will never cease to exist. We must keep our eyes open to the beauty that is all around us and that we constantly take for granted.

Cause and Effect Essay

The Effects of Poverty

" The effects of poverty can be felt at every level of society – from the individual living in poverty to the political leader attempting to provide solutions. Whether it is health conditions or increased crime rates, poverty reaches just about every aspect of life." Cleveland, (2014) Poverty has been around for quite a long time; however, despite its long existence, it is far from being eradicated. The effects that poverty has on society are numerous; yet, a thorough scrutiny of four of the effects can help us to better understand the severity of the problem. Needless to say, the order in which they are presented is not a hierarchical order. Neither of the effects is considered less affecting than the other; instead, they merely complement one another.

Poverty makes a huge impact in the economy of a country. The amount of people living in poverty influences employment rates at a grand scale. According to Cleveland, (2014), "unemployment hinders a country from developing into a strong economic system. A high unemployment rate can impede a country from progressing in all aspects." South Africa, with the highest unemployment rate in the world (24.50%), is a clear example of how unemployment affects the economy of a country which then leads to the increase of poverty. Patton, (2015) writes, "As economic activity improves, companies require additional workers, and unemployment falls. If unemployment remains high for an extended period, it may become structural, resulting in a myriad of problems." Basically, if unemployment goes up, poverty decreases, and the economy of a country thrives.
Education is also highly affected by poverty. Poverty often prevents parents from being able to purchase basic things such as clothes or school supplies for their children to attend school. But material things are the least of the concerns concerning poverty and education. Recent studies have shown that children that grow up in poverty have a huge disadvantage compared to children who grow up in middle or rich class households. In 2015, Bergland, (2015) stated, "Previous research has shown that lower-income students tend to suffer from more stress in early childhood, have less access to enriching educational resources, and receive less exposure to spoken language and vocabulary in early life. When all of these factors coalesce, they can lead to changes in brain structure, cognitive skills, and low academic achievements." Ultimately, children living in poverty are less likely to graduate from high school let alone from college.
Society is no exception to the effects of poverty, as a matter of fact, the effects of poverty on society are massive. Countless amounts of people are homeless and live in the streets because of poverty. Horvath, Hightower, Bacham, & Fuller, (2012) said, "People in poverty that need the help the most are the ones not speaking up." Not surprising, the poorer a country is the higher its crime rates are.
"When people are unemployed and homeless, social unrest may take over and lead to increases in crime. When people have nothing and no money to buy necessities, they may be forced to turn to theft in order to survive. …It is clear that poverty has far-reaching effects on all people. By improving global poverty, economies could prosper, health could improve, and countries can develop into strong global presences. " Cleveland, (2014)
One of the most severe consequences of poverty is how much it affects health. It is very clear that diseases and sicknesses are characteristic in people living in poverty for the reason that they don´t have the money needed to preserve a hygienic and healthy living environment. The food they eat is not near being fulfilling or nourishing, it is just enough to keep the hunger pangs away. The same goes for the sanitation conditions; these are people that barely have enough to purchase food, let alone cleaning supplies. Consequently, people living in poverty do not receive the necessary nutrients to fight off diseases and therefore, have higher chances of contracting diseases more often than not. Annan, (2016) remarks, "The biggest enemy of health in the developing world is poverty."
It is easy to believe that poverty is quarantined to one country, one region, or one neighborhood; but the truth is that poverty is spreading at record levels among various groups. Countless efforts have been done to end poverty or at least diminish it; however, at the end of the day all these efforts do not matter if nothing is being done about corruption. Sadly, enough, poverty and corruption go hand-in-hand, if one of them disappears, so will the other. A vast majority of people around the world are being affected by poverty and thus, are experiences one or all of the effects previously stated. Until something is done to try to vanquish corruption, the effects of poverty will not disappear and more and more people will be subjugated by poverty. The recently passed away Mohammad Ali Mohammad, (2016) once remarked, "Wars against nations are fought to change maps; wars against poverty are fought to map change."

Narrative Essay

Love at First Sight? Heck, No!
One of my all-times favorite song goes like this: ¨Wise men say only fools rush in, but I can´t help falling in love with you¨. Magazines, movies, and romance novels are full of love at first sight stories that can make the devil himself fall in love. But is that indeed how it goes in real life? Has anyone really experience love at first sight? In my case, it was most definitely not love at first sight. As a matter of fact, I could even venture to say that it wasn´t love at tenth sight either.  Come to think of it, maybe it was cupid´s idea of a joke. According to wise men, people that fall in love at first sight are fools for rushing in, or do they have no control over their feelings?
Like most typical college students, I enjoyed spending my leisure time in the campus´ cafeteria. Physically, there was nothing special about the cafeteria. It was your standard college cafeteria, a great big room with restaurants to the sides and a huge space in the middle that had been filled in with lunch tables. Nonetheless, it was just one of those places that drew you to it; a welcoming sight to those who hungered. However, it wasn´t only the food that called to me. The cafeteria was a lot like a mama hen, always willing to shield me in from the nastiness of the world. She had opened her wings to me when I had first failed a class, that time when Aunt Terry had passed away, and all those times when all I wanted was a place to escape. Looking back though, it wasn´t only the bad moments that found me making my way to the cafeteria. Tons of noteworthy moments came to pass in the comfort and warmth of that cafeteria.
My love story, so to say, begins in that cafeteria. It was a regular day, nothing out of the ordinary had happened. My best friend Ellie and I were seated at our usual spot, the booth next to the pebetes stand. Ellie was being her usual chatty self, ranting about a cellphone she had seen and ¨absolutely¨ needed to have. I, of course, was just staring at her and nodding my head in approval. In reality though, she had lost me two seconds into our conversation. All of a sudden, Ellie said that she wanted to visit the cellphone stand that had just been opened close to the entrance of the cafeteria. Not wanting to be left alone, staring into space, I obliged and trailed behind her. The cafeteria was packed. It seemed as if every single student in college was there that day. Making my way through the throng was not going to be an easy task. Ellie, though, was having no problem moving through the crowd. I looked at her and wondered if maybe she was a descendant of Moses. She was really working some magic parting the crowd.
By the time I finally caught up to her, Ellie had already struck a bargain with the sales guy behind the counter and was getting herself a new cellphone. Elllie´s determination when she wanted something never ceased to amaze me. I was dumfounded by the events unfolding in front of me that I failed to notice the other sales guy standing on the other side of the counter staring directly at me. He was not too tall; his features were striking but not overly handsome. His hair was black and brushed to one    side. His white polo shirt and neatly ironed kaki dress pants fit him quite impeccably and gave him an air of superiority. His eyes had a lively sparkle, they almost seem to be smiling at. His lips started to move. Immediately, I realized he was asking me something, but I had no idea what to answer, so I just smiled at him. As I was about to turn my gaze toward Ellie, he spoke again. He wanted to know if I was interested in purchasing a cellphone. I honestly was not interested so I shook my head and that was the end of our one-sided conversation.
Looking back, I would have never thought that this had been my first run-in with whom soon would be my future husband. Come to think of it, there was no chemistry, no fireworks, not even the butterflies in the stomach that they tell you about in romance novels. Luckily for me, but mostly for him, this story doesn´t end there. Since we were attending the same college, we would eventually run into each other sooner or later and that is exactly what happened. About a month after our first encounter, we ran into each other at the printing shop. The queue was moving ever so slowly and I was quickly growing impatient – this is so not like me. I needed to make it to history class in less than 10 minutes. Time was of the essence. I turned around and there he was standing right behind me. I uttered a quick hello and he answered back. As it turns out, we quickly struck up a conversation. I found out that his name was Fernando Panini and not only did on work on campus, he was also a student. He was majoring in administration and would soon be graduating. Overall, he was a very nice guy and definitely someone I could hang out with. This was the beginning our friendship.
As time passed, Fernando and I became really good friends. Even so, neither of us saw the other in a romantic way. Right around the same time, I started dating a guy whom I had had a crush on for a very long time. Robert was your typical college bad boy, which was exactly what attracted me to him in the first place. Nothing about our relationship was uninteresting. It most definitely was a roller coaster of emotions. He for starters had a problem keeping it in his pants. I was not unaware of his night rendezvous with other girl. As a matter of fact, I was actually pretty well informed about the matter. Stupidly enough, I just turned my head and pretended nothing was going on. The old saying ¨out of sight, out of mind¨ seemed to be the cornerstone in our relationship. The thing is, there came a point in which I was actually secretly thrilled to hear the excuse he would come up with. After a while though, the little game we had been playing became too much for either of us to handle. I would like to say that we had an amicable break up, but even describing it as hard would be an understatement. In the end, we both knew that it was something that needed to happen. Five precious months of my life had been wasted because of my stubbornness but I can most definitely say that it was a learning as well as growing experience.
After our break up, I decided that it was time to get my priorities straight and focus on things that were more important and that is exactly what I did. A year later, I was graduating from college and was finally obtaining my degree in Civil Engineering. I am not going to lie; I was feeling extremely proud of myself. I had finished my degree in record time which was no easy task, especially since it wasn´t what I had wanted to study. My dad had been dead set on my studying engineering and so I had humored him. He knew all along that it was not my passion but he still pushed me to follow in his steps. On the inside though, I really hoped that this meant that now I could pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. On the first chance I got, I applied at a school to obtain a teaching job. I was feeling exhilarated. Soon I came to find that teaching was no easy undertaking. There were a few times in which I felt like quitting. Regardless of the circumstances, I was able to overcome many obstacles and prove to myself that I was capable of doing many things.
I was on an all-time high and it was about to get better. I had been working as a teacher for about eight months when Fernando and I bump into each other. It was such an incredible moment, after all, we hadn´t seen each other in over a year. We had so many things that we had to talk about. There was going to be a lot of catching up to do so we decided to get together for coffee. We ended up doing coffee and dinner because both of us had many things to tell the other. As we were hugging each other goodbye, I felt a warm, fuzzy feeling all over. This had never happened before, it was very strange. The weird thing is that I knew that Fernando had felt it also. We both put it to the side and decided that it was a mix of emotions from seeing each other again. As time passed, we started to spend more time together. We really enjoyed each other´s company. At this point, I knew that I was falling for him but I was too afraid to tell him about it because I didn´t want our friendship to be ruined.

Lucky for me, Fernando was battling with his emotions as well. He was feeling the same way that I was feeling for him. But unlike me, he was not into hiding his emotions. He was going to come clean and tell me everything he felt. On a Friday afternoon, Fernando called me from work and told that we should grab dinner together. I made nothing out of his invitation since we had gone out to dinner so many times before. The place we met at was a bit more elegant than what we were used but I was just glad that I was going to hang out with one of my best friends.

Compare and Contrast Paper

Private or Public Education
A debate has been going on for a extended period of time concerning the sufficiency of private and public education. ¨ When it comes to schooling, parents often have to work out whether to send their children to private school or keep them in public school.¨ (Chen, 2015) A decision is not easy to make, especially if is regarding education. Every parent wants what is best for their child, that is why when it comes to making a decision, the matter presented should not be taken lightly or hastily. However, there are some important factors such as cost, academic reputation, and teacher quality that should be thoroughly scrutinized before making a decision.
¨ The most obvious discrepancy between public and private schools comes down to cold, hard cash. ¨ (GreatSchools Staff, 2016)Public schools are government funded and thus, must be available to everyone who wishes to attend and no fee is ever paid. But, it is not as easy as it sounds. Because public schools are government ran, they are often underfunded and they operations influenced by political winds and shortfalls. Financed mainly through local taxes, public schools are part of a larger school system, which functions as a part of the government and must follow the rules and regulations set by politicians. Contrary to public schools, private schools do charge tuition – a very high one. Private schools must generate their own source of income which can be done through anarray of sources. Private schools have their own agenda, they are in control of their institutions, and don´t comply to any government imposition.
In general, public schools have a quite scandalous bad reputation regarding standardized testing. Now, something that is mind-bottling is that this phenomenon can be seen in many public schools worldwide. In defense of public education, I must say that in many cases, public school students score twice as high in the standardized test than their peers. On the other hand, private school students are getting the highest scores on standardize test. The reason for this can be the fact that private schools have the freedom to develop their own curriculum and focus on specific purposes.  ¨ Public schools must follow state guidelines that set out specific standards and assessment procedures. In theory, this creates a certain amount of quality control. Private schools, on the other hand, can choose whatever curriculum and assessment model they wish. This freedom to design their own curriculum or avoid standardized tests can result in higher standards for students — or lower. ¨ (Dynarski, 2014)
While most people assume that teachers at private schools are as qualified as those at public ones, it’s important to note that all teachers in a public school are usually certified or, at a minimum, working toward certification. Certification ensures that a teacher has gone through the training required by the country, which includes student teaching and course work. Teachers in private schools may not be required to have certification. Instead, they often have subject-area expertise and an undergraduate or graduate degree in the subject they teach.Surprisingly though, the most qualified teachers are the ones that are slacking off and in addition giving public schools a bad name. In Honduras, public school teachers are not properly supervised and in many cases are not even showing up to work or simply attend the class to be seem but are not teaching the students.

Finally, it is not about whether private education is better than public or the other way around. Even if it seems that one of the contenders is in the lead. Instead of comparing a type of school or education with the other, efforts should be made to try to repair what is in general affecting education. As was shown, both private and public education have their pros and cons. Public educators could learn from private educators just like private ones could learn from public ones. Nelson Mandela once said that education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world, albeit public or public education. In the long run, education has to be about the changes that can be made to make this world a better place.
